Inkasi Exclusive Wildlife Lodge invites you to experience the wonder and tranquillity of nature at its most sublime in a uniquely private location

Guests are able to choose from a variety of activities, including guided game drives or a guided game walks, night rides, fishing, bird watching and even star spotting. Game hunting can be arranged during the culling season.

Enthusiastic fishermen will be kept busy with a variety of fish, although caution should be exercised as the river is home to hippos and crocodiles.

Inkasi Lodge

Inkasi, the Shangaan name for Fish Eagle, is home to a prolific array of wildlife, which includes: cheetahs, lions, leopards, wildebeest, buffalo, impala, inyala, duikers, steenboks, zebra, hyena, giraffe and an abundance of bird species.

The Inkasi Lodge is located deep in the bush on the edge of the Klaserie River in the Northern Province of South Africa, close to the Kruger National Park.

THE BIG FIVE CAN BE SEEN IN THE AREA.

Enjoy the sounds of local birdlife, including the cry of the eagle from which the lodge earned its name. Watch the animals drink at the waterhole, drift off to do some fishing, swimming, table tennis, darts, a board game or experience the exhilarating whirlpool Jacuzzi in your own cottage. A video machine and DST are available for sports addicts.

*Inoculations are not required when visiting the area, however, we do recommend that guests take an anti-malaria prophylactic in the interest of their health and safety.

Franklyn Park: if you are a keen walker or birder
Franklyn Park is a recreational park, located in the Limpopo Province, situated on the Kruger to Canyons birding route, 30km from Hoedspruit and 20km from the Blyde Canyon. The Park is set on rolling lawns, surrounded by indigenous forest and bordered by perennial streams with a colonial Out of African theme. Stone benches are strategically situated next to magnificent fountains and statues, to be enjoyed whilst relaxing and listening to the sounds of nature unspoiled. After a lovely walk through the rain forest, order a picnic basket to eat alongside the stream. (Booking of Picnic basket prior to arrival essential).

Hoedspruit Cheetah Project:
The Hoedspruit Cheetah project is a breeding program for Cheetah and Wild Dog. Guests are taken around in open vehicles to view the Cheetah and the very rare King Cheetah – 24km form Inkasi. One can also view the endangered Wild Dog and Blue Cranes. Also to view is the Ground Hornbills and the Vultures Restaurant.

There is a 9-hole golf course and a complex of outdoor tennis courts for those determined not to lose their swing (30 mins away).
